Baltimore Zionist District (BZD) uses its direct Israeli connection as a home base for the creation of cultural and political programs and educational activities which deal with all aspects of Zionism and modern Israeli life. BZD works with and reaches out to Baltimore’s Jews across the religious and cultural spectrum and the greater Baltimore community.
BZD organizes the community to advocate for Israel through participating at National Rallies, bringing awareness and education to the community on the most current issues effecting Israel, Speakers Series and Dr. Mort & Toby Mower Israel Symposiums, coordinates community-wide Israel events to celebrate Yom Ha’Atzmaut, a memorial ceremony for Yom HaZikaron and many more cultural events. BZD’s Israel Desk is headed by a Jewish Agency Shlicha who serves as a resource for the entire Baltimore community. BZD sponsors missions, a teen summer Israel experience and educational trips to Israel.
